ABOUT US
Our Story
In 2022, a survey of citizens of Southern Delaware found that 98% of respondents desired to send their child(ren) to a local, high academic-level, Roman Catholic high school if available. In response to the overwhelming support of Delawareans in Kent and Sussex Counties , a Board of Trustees was established, Holy Cross High School was incorporated and received nonprofit recognition, bylaws were ratified and, after two years of work, on January 4, 2024, the Bishop of the Diocese of Wilmington authorized the new, independent, Holy Cross High School to proceed in Dover, Delaware.
In the spring of 2024, the Board of Trustees hired Mr. Tom Fertal as the inaugural President of the school. Mr. Fertal brings a track record of success in a Catholic school leadership career that spans 28 years.
All details of the school program and offerings, tuition, and more will be fully available by the end of summer 2024. We will be open for enrollment applications on October 1st, 2024.
